World Cancer Day Touches my heart
World Cancer Day 2022 is about equity to care which to me gives everyone empowerment to fight.
My twin sister died because of a rare & aggressive cancer.
Empowerment is one of my core values because of her - it helps us to Grow more, Be more & Give more.
Empowerment allowed her to cultivate Hope,
Empowerment helped her be grateful for every day she was here
Empowerment allowed her to give more to her fight.
Everyone should have access to what they need for their fight.
She waited weeks for a simple elective procedure that would unexpectedly reveal a terminal diagnosis.
She was only 37 & otherwise healthy, of course they suspected nothing so the standard waiting time was acceptable.
Her oncology team could have been involved so much earlier if she was referred earlier.
That knowledge is haunting.
At diagnosis here was no referral procedure to our professor, we found him ourselves after weeks of appointments & second opinions.
At diagnosis it felt like chaos… as an ex nurse I could tell everyone was out of their depth.. it wasn’t their fault… there were gaps.
Information, education & referral procedures could have helped her earlier.
Her Professor, no doubt still fights for this today.
He did his best - instead of 5 months she lived another 2 years.
We are so grateful for that.
She lived in the city, in a well serviced area with none of the inequity factors listed below & yet her access to care was limited.
Cancer is hard enough without these factors that further limit equity of care.
The Union for International cancer Control are focusing on closing the gap to cancer care.
This means considering all of the many reasons for inequity in cancer care.
There are so many reasons why patients do not get early enough access to life saving or prolonging treatments.
These could be Income, education, location and discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability and lifestyle are just a few of the factors that can negatively affect care.
Precious lives are already getting their care too late, to then deal with inequity is just inhumane.
My hope is that awareness & education keep pushing toward better access across all barriers to care so patients are empowered & given the chance to fight cancer.

It's Groundhog Day
It’s Groundhog Day today! How can it help you fond the Mindset of your next Potential?
February 2nd marks the fascinating groundhog day in the US where Punxsutawney Phil (Groundhog) is said to predict the way that winter will transition into spring.
We may know it best from the 1993 movie Groundhog Day starring Phil Murray as Phil who re- lives the same day over & over & over until he begins to see patterns in his life that are not working for him.
His constant repeat of the day leads him to change his approach which leads him to significant self growth & positive changes in his life.
The movie created the social term ‘Groundhog Day’ as a means to express ones thoughts about repetitive & monotonous events or themes in our own lives.
This Groundhog Day also falls on Wednesday otherwise known as Hump Day.
If there was ever a day to notice those repeated themes, patterns & roadblocks it may well be today!
What patterns come up for you when you think about the times you’ve used the terms
It’s like Groundhog Day or it’s Hump Day.
Usually said with a tone of frustration.
Could it be the social buy into these days?
OR
Could you be noticing some repetitive patterns?
Psychology refers to these patterns as Gestalt patterns, which follow us through life until we address them.
These patterns can be profound such as self limiting beliefs around our sense of self-worth or trauma related making them painful or triggering.
They can also seem minor yet significantly limit our highest potential.
They can be uncomfortable, irritating or embarrassing which means we tend to ignore them or try to ‘fake it till we make it’.
These patterns can also go unnoticed yet continuously hold us back such as my old belief that I wasn’t ‘allowed’ to speak up.
This limited my communication, self worth & my career & I had no idea until I met my coach.
On reflection, the Groundhog Day moments around this self limit felt more like…
Supreme discomfort public speaking
Becoming irritated & annoyed by others who spoke up (to the point of eye-rolling)
Fumbling through important discussions (meetings, arguments) & messing up my words
Always assuming people didn’t need or want to hear from me
Examples my clients may present with include
Not being heard, valued, seen or recognised
Imposter syndrome
Never getting the role or being pipped by the same type of person
Playing small
People pleasing
Attracting the same type of partner, boss, colleagues or friends that don’t work out
The same reason for the same outcome with the same result and many more….
So, on this Groundhog Day take a moment to explore your own eye-roll moments, repetitive themes that seem to follow you around or hump day frustrations & what they might represent.
Do they tend to pop up at certain times (especially when we’re growing)?
Do they block you or hold you back (even if you can rationalise it)?
Do they repeat over and over and over (they maybe trying to get your attention)
The hidden drivers to our limits are the reason we can have PROFOUND self growth through these repeated patterns or ‘Groundhog Day moments.
As I always say, these triggers & roadblocks (Groundhog Day moments) are your signposts to growth!
They have a purpose in showing you where to grow, if you are aspirational & growth minded follow the signposts!
I would love to know what the repeated themes are for you, are you noticing them?
Share with me in the comments to know you’re not alone and they pop up to help your grow.
We have stories... stories don't have us
Many months ago during a session, my client was reminded of a beautiful thing his mum would say when he was younger.
She used to tell him that “I have feelings, feelings don’t have me”…
This became a profound resource within that session that replaced an old self limit.
These words sing to me around the true function of emotions & also around the stories we believe about
Who we are
How we fit in the world
Our worthiness
Our perceived limits
The space we are ‘allowed’ to take up
Our truths
We all have stories & conditioning.
Often we think it’s who we are or maybe who we’re meant/allowed to be.
These stories may no longer reflect your life, worthiness or highest Potential, therefore they may have become self limiting.
They no longer match who we came here to be.
They are holding us back even if we are unaware.
No one told us it’s ok to let them go.
No one told us it’s ok to stop buying into the stories of lack, limit & fear.
My mission is to help aspirational growth minded professionals to replace their old stories with new ones that support & nourish their Highest Potential.
Imagine the impact it had on my client when he replaced an old story of fear & self limit with the empowering words of his Mum.
It gave him permission to let go of the grip from an old story blocking his way to be who he came here to be!
Thats what I want for you too.
We all have stories… stories don’t have us.
Listen to your inner critic next time, what does he/she say to pull you back from your Next Potential?
That story doesn’t have to have you anymore.
Does this year already feel heavy & exhausting?
I was speaking to a client this week who joined me in Mindset Foundations last year.
She was saying that this year already feels heavy in tone.
People are stressed & behaving poorly already.
Then she said something that literally lit up my soul.
She said...
'Mindset foundations has changed the way I think about everything. Its given me a new lens, perspective & feeling about how I think.
It's helped me to attach to something meaningful.
It's been foundational for inspiration & change at the core'.
Even with the heaviness of the world, we can attach to something meaningful within us.
As I prepare to help a new group of aspirational professionals to do the same, I am inspired to know that we can grow more, be more & do more to help ourselves & those around us during heavy times.
If the heaviness is effecting you, try a little internal reflection to find attachment to something meaningful...
Ask yourself
- What can I learn from this experience or my response?
- Who can I become by going through this feeling/ experience?
- What tangible & compassionate thing can I do to help or impact?
- How I am participating?
- What language am I using around children or the vulnerable?
- What would compassion, wisdom or love do?
Happy New Years ReVolution! Day 5 aspirational goal ignition
Happy New Year and welcome 2022!
Wishing you a wonderful year ahead with abundant health, opportunities & self-growth.
We’ve spent the last 4 days exploring your aspirational goals & the signposts that will pop up to direct you where to grow.
We are now ready to create your New Years ReVolution.
Today we ignite your aspirational goal within your mindset so that you can access the resources you need to make it a success.
One of the problems with a New Year Resolution is that we make the promise, commitment & statement from the mindset of our current state.
That is the person who is yet to achieve the goal, yet to grow into the person who will achieve it & yet to gain the wisdom required to stick with the effort & growth.
This current state is utilising the thinking brain which does not have the resources required to embrace the kind of growth we require.
These resources include
Creativity
Self faith
Faith in others, opportunities & something greater
Curiosity
Problem solving (not just analysing)
And many more
To ignite an aspirational New Years ReVolution we need to access the growth mindset that is capable & willing to grow into the goal
This is the growth mindset of those unicorn-like people that are in the 20% of success stories from a New Year self promise.
Watch the video attached to enjoy my New Years gift to you;
A free goal ignition session using what I like to call the Be Your Own Coach model - otherwise called the Be Do Have.
I hope you have enjoyed a deeper self enquiry into your New Years ReVolution
If you have identified the blocks that may pop up - embrace them & share with me the amazing growth they lead your to.
Perhaps, like many at this time of year you want to take action NOW so that your aspirational Revolution comes to life THIS YEAR instead of rotating into 2023.
Not only can we help you with those you have identified - we can work together to UNEARTH all of your hidden roadblocks at the start of this new year AND UNLEARN the biggest one in your way this month.
There are still a handful of spaces for Limits UNEARTHED Half day Intensive this January - we can have your private session booked by Monday so that you are in charge of 2022.
For only $397 we work 1:1 for a half day on
Your programming,
Your goals &
Your mindset.
If you want to UNLEASH this year Limits UNEARTHED is for you.

What is your New Years Revolution & who will you become by self growing into achieving it?
Be Well & Be aspirational

PS Video below to ignite your New Years ReVolution
5 Days to a New Years Revolution; Day 4 Getting in our own way
Its New Years eve and also day 4 of our News Years Revolution
We have explored fear & roadblocks getting in our way, today we explore when we get in our own way which is one of the biggest reasons our New Years resolutions fall away.
We can get in our own way in a number of ways eg
Self Doubt
Self Sabotage
Reversed validation requirements aka needing others to validate our worth, performance, value & goals
Fear can also play a part in all of the above reasons.
As with all unmet goals (I’m not a fan of the word failure - its s a form of feedback) the conscious thinking brain plays a big part in rationalising without us knowing its happening.
This means that we will always find great & practical reasons for the unmet goal, whilst completely normal & human - it keeps us playing small.
We cant recognise the reason because the brain has done an excellent job of diverting us form the real underlying limit
To get out of our own way - we have to recognise that it happens.
Think about the repeated New Years Resolutions over the years…
Consider the reasons as to why goals that were unmet, perhaps you would say;
Life got in the way
I changed my direction
The goal was unrealistic
I became injured, unwell, disinterested or changed my mind
Nobody was there to help me
The goalposts at work shifted
These are just some of the rational reasons that we associate with unmet goals.
Is there a theme for you?
Ask yourself
Do I have any regrets about the unmet goal? (Would I have liked to keep trying?). Am I disappointed that I didn't?
How was I feeling about the goal before it fell away?
Was I worried, anxious or stressed about the goal?
What things do I say about it to people eg
‘I was never going to be any good at that’ ‘Im not cut out for it’ ‘I wasn’t ready’ ‘Im not good enough’
What things did/do other people say about it eg
‘I was surprised you aimed so high’ ‘I knew you would give it away’ ‘no one thought you’d succeed’
As you think of your current aspirational goal - what is your inner critic trying to say to you to reign you back in?
What are the reasons popping into your mind about the goal not being a success?
What pattern have you noticed when big goals become out of reach? eg outsourcing, quitting, becoming very busy, self sabotage, giving other people the credit or losing self faith?
The answers to these questions will often begin to reveal self limiting beliefs that are being triggered - old stories of when the world told us we weren’t capable.
We still believe them, we still believe that’s who we are and how we fit in the world.
BUT we no longer have to believe them.
They are being triggered so that you can grow past them.
Perhaps you recognise the words in your own self deprecating dialogue - GREAT we know exactly where to start your UNLEARNING process.
What’s underneath this self growth is your next potential - who is capable of achieving this goal even if it’s been unmet multiple times.
Maybe you recognise a pattern of low self confidence or waiting for other people to give you permission to step up, succeed or celebrate your wins. This very common phenomena happens when our internal programming requires validation from others in order for us to feel;
Worthy
Valuable
Confident
Accepted
When our validation needs are reversed we find it hard to back ourselves or make decisions without somebody (possible a person of authority) to validate, accept or approve of us.
Of course we all enjoy feedback, validation and to know we are on the right track however if we no longer NEED it to grow it becomes supportive information rather than a necessity for us to move forward or see our own value/ potential/ growth needs.
We can take ownership of our own growth, performance & success toward goals.
Finally just by losing sight of the aspiration behind our goals we are getting in our own way - so how can you ignite that aspiration daily into your goal?
Whatever you aspirational goal is, by design it will bring up triggers to make you uncomfortable - this is the growth zone and this is a wonderful thing.
By exploring your reactions to this New Years Revolution you have been given a snapshot of what could pop up - NOT to get in your way…
To pave the way for your self-growth into that goal.
Congratulations!
Would you like to take it a step further or step into that growth NOW?
I am currently taking bookings for Limits UNEARTHED Half Day Intensive;

See you tomorrow for Day 5 of your New Years Revolution!
5 Days to a New Years Revolution - Day 3 Roadblocks to our goals.
Yesterday we explored fears that arise when we set aspirational goals & how fear is a great signpost to underlying limits in thinking & behaviour.
Today let’s focus on the things that come up to block our goals - the circumstances & people.
Perhaps the structure of your environment, opportunities or specific people may pop up as a reason why things won’t work.
Maybe the opinions of others who tend to focus on negatives or remind you of the risk or this could be somebody who seems to block your progress (nemesis, competitor or even a boss)
These things or people will easily influence our rational brain into believing it won’t work or we are incapable of success.
This deeply vulnerable feeling is a risk to the conscious brain (risk assessment centre) so it will rationalise & find reasons to make it more comfortable eg
We blame or judge the other person or circumstance (it’s their fault)
See reasons why they are more successful such as their experience, direct nature or tactics (Focus is Fertiliser so the brain is searching for more evidence)
Rationalise why they are successful instead of us - ‘comparison is the thief of joy’ (Roosevelt)
Focus on them/ the block instead of us which further highlights our fears & destroy’s confidence
Empower the block making it seem immovable, which disempowers us.
Remember these are normal functions of our conscious mind.
We all experience them.
We are all human.
We can Revolutionise this experience by allowing the subconscious mind to participate in our goals.
Get quiet, maybe close your eyes & give yourself permission to get honest with yourself.
Notice what the biggest block is to your goal.
Is it a person, a circumstance or a thought about your circumstance?
Maybe its a team mate, boss or competitor, perhaps an opinionated family member
Maybe its a toxic workplace or there’s no opportunity to grow
Perhaps you believe you are stuck somehow
Visualise this block in front of you, get a clear sense of how it makes you feel & what is underneath that feeling.
Maybe frustration is sheltering a more vulnerable experience such as being exposed or disempowered.
Could this lead back to fear? If so, refer to day 2 & follow the self enquiry prior to the following reflection questions..
Ask yourself the following questions one at a time with deep breaths and eyes closed.
Has this block or a similar pattern held me back in the past?
How do I react to this block/ person
Who do I become when this block/ person impacts me?
What things does the person say/ imply that triggers or disempowers me?
Who would I be without the block?
Is the block really immovable? Could I move more in flexibility or options?
Who does the block/ person remind me of?
This question is important.
Sit with it and give yourself permission to fully embrace the answer that appears.
Often the person who comes to mind is strongly associated with self limiting beliefs & programming that is being triggered by the current circumstances.
If this block is a person eg your boss, who do they remind you of?
I once had a working relationship that I could only describe as a nemesis situation.
When I explored the reactions I had to the relationship I was surprised at who this person really reminded me of & what real limit was being triggered.
The programming being triggered was completely unrelated to the current events.
Once I UNLEARNED (reprogrammed) the limit I was able to see this person in a whole new positive and productive way.
I could see that we both participated in the block to the relationship, even if I was not behaving poorly I was still reacting & becoming disempowered.
This meant I had plenty of self growth to do.
This meant that my reactions and triggers were doing a great job - signposting me to significant growth past a seemingly immovable block.
This person then became one of my biggest professional growth stories.
The growth I did beyond that ‘block’ became significant in empowerment that would lead to a whole new potential for me.
What is the most significant block to your goal?
This will be the place of significant growth into you next potential & into achieving you goal.
5 Days till a New Years Revolution - Day 2
If our goals are bold & aspirational enough we will usually experience some kind of fear related to the goal.
That feeling of dread in the stomach or the rush of adrenalin in the head as we begin to overthink all of the reasons why it or we might fail.
They feel like terror yet as Tony Robbins says ‘they are happening for you not to you’ There are 2 things happening here ….
The fear; evidence the goal is too big? You’re not going to succeed?
NO! Your fear is a message from your subconscious mind. Reacting would mean retreating. Responding on the other hand means decoding the message. New Years Revolutions are about welcoming the fear and exploring it to find the signpost for the best self growth
The rationalising;
We spend 95% of our time operating from the conscious brain which I like to call the risk assessment centre. Always analysing for risk of failure, shame or being hurt the conscious brain will give compelling reasons as to why we need to avoid risk.
When fear tells us the goal is too scary we may rationalise an alternative, an avoidance or even a self sabotage. To revolutionise this experience of fear, we must allow the subconscious to join the discussion.
The best way to do this is with curiosity - the language of the subconscious mind.
Take 5 minutes of quiet time to engage, embrace & explore the fear of your goal.
Simply picture the goal being achieved & allow your feelings to surface.
Picture yourself in the new year working toward the goal.
Perhaps you could imagine somebody asking you about your goal or giving an opinion about it.
We are going to ‘Dive into the fears’ as Jay Shetty writes in Think like a Monk.
Ask yourself the following questions…
Where do I feel the fear or hesitation on my body? Allow the fear to express itself
What am I really afraid of? Jay Shetty advises to repeatedly ask this question as the answers are layered. Stay with it
Perhaps you will find the answers such as I’m afraid of failure, I am not good enough or people may judge me
Perhaps you may feel blocked or frustrated, this is your conscious brain trying to prevent the vulnerability to fear, keep going
If the fear had a message what is it?
The critical thing I say to myself about this goal is…. Eg it will never work, there’s no point Im not good/ strong/ disciplined enough
The fear underneath the critical voice is… the critical voice can lead us directly to the cause eg Im not good enough.
The self limiting belief we find under the fear is the programming that is limiting our success. We all have self limiting beliefs. If you found one - you have found the very place to self develop and help you achieve your goal.
Close your eyes and ask yourself, who would I be without this belief? What would I like to believe instead?
Your roadblocks & triggers signpost to your greatest growth - embrace & explore them!
Knowing that your mind has only good intentions for you, there is no need to fight, blame or push against these functions. Simply get curious & focus on what you would like to believe instead, who you would be and also the actions you would take without the fear.
So, what did you find underneath the fear reaction and how could it be limiting your success?
How could it be signalling you to self-grow?
5 Days till a New Years Revolution!
Do you set New Years resolutions?
Resolution, noun; a drastic and far- reaching change in ways of thinking & behaving.
The new year is like a new start, a new chapter, a new us!
For that moment we believe, we decide, we commit to this new way of thinking & behaving.
This moment in time is passionate, aspirational, it’s exciting & bold - we all know this feeling.
I have experienced this moment many times & believed in the resolution as well as my ability to execute.
I have also had this moment slip away from me, along with the goal, the decision & the passion for the big grand sweeping change I was hoping to make.
I am in good company with around 80% of New Years Resolutions failing according to widely published research including Forbes, Harvard Business Review & Psychology Today.
So maybe it’s time we changed our approach?
Maybe the drastic, far reaching change in our thinking & behaving is unrealistic and is at odds with the wisest part of our brain, the subconscious mind.
Perhaps an approach that works with the subconscious will yield more sustainable results & even allow us to self-grow in the process.
Over the next 5 days we will explore your own goals & aspirations with the view of transforming your New Years Resolutions into Revolutions.
Revolution (noun); Oxford dictionary;
A dramatic and wide reaching change in conditions, attitudes or operation
Cambridge dictionary;
One complete circular movement of something eg a wheel, the revolution of the earth around the sun
UK; a big change or improvement in the way that something works or looks, or in the way people do a particular activity
I love the idea of revolution - that each year we circle around the sun, we grow wiser & older, we develop & grow as we learn more about who we came here to be.
Finding mindful & positive ways to set up our next year that aligns with our growth is a great way to mark the beginning of another revolution and can also set us up for great success in achieving these goals instead of having them slip away into the 80%.
What are the 20% of people doing that successfully achieve their goals?
They accept that fear is information & being uncomfortable means you are in your growth zone.
The reasons for failed NY Resolutions is not necessarily the persons inability or even the goal itself.
One big factor is in the way we use our brain.
We approach goals with our conscious/ thinking brain which houses the negativity bias, ego & rationalising of fear.
This part of the brain is more cautious, reactive & takes things personally.
Loss of faith & momentum can occur in the reaction we have to setting the goal or resolution, the fears or self doubts that pop up when we consider the resolution & how we may achieve it.
We become triggered & believe the feeling of fear, unworthiness or inability to achieve the outcome we have set for ourselves.
We are conditioned to believe that discomfort around our goals is
Proof we are not capable,
That fear is an indicator we will fail
The opinion of others’ is evidence of the goal being unattainable.
This social conditioning is the reason why so many people fail, they believe the fear is a stop-gate rather than a signpost to your greatest growth!
These internal fears are perceived as negative, weak & even shameful when in fact they are serving a very important function of the subconscious mind.
The fear-based reactions we have to information such as triggers are hints & nudges from our mind.
As I wrote in Focus is Fertiliser, roadblock’s & triggers are signposts to our greatest growth.
They literally show us where to self grow in order to reach our next potential - which is needed for the goal we are thinking about!
The wisest part of our brain already knows we are capable of achieving what we wish to, it also knows exactly how to grow into the person who can achieve it - this is why the fears arise & feel so strong.
To direct us to the most meaningful place to develop.
Over the next 5 days instead of grand sweeping resolutions we will give your goals a revolution so that you can work with the signposts and grow into your goal rather than needing to adjust them or let them go completely.
Day 1
Let’s begin by allowing one aspirational goal to come to your mind.
Perhaps it is a repeated goal that seems to slip throughout years gone by.
Maybe its a goal you’ve not dared to set
Or this could be a brand new goal that you are challenging yourself with.
Write your goal down, say it aloud or imagine what it would be like to achieve the goal.
Day 1 is about allowing it to surface with all of the passion, excitement & hopes that come with it.
Forget about the how - just allow the aspiration to develop. What would it feel like to achieve this goal?
If any reactions come with it, GREAT write them down so you can explore them over the coming days.
Be honest about the scary goals that keep coming to mind - they want to be explored.
If there is a word that comes to mind around this goal, let that word be the tone of your goal which you aspire to show up as instead of the pressure of a resolution
eg. If we are wanting to create more income, a traditional resolution may sound like ‘to get out of debt’.
The pressure of that resolution could be confronting day to day, showing up with a growth mindset may require a more growth minded dialogue of possibilities rather than the fixed idea of debt we need to get out of.
Perhaps the tone word could reflect the outcome such as freedom, abundance or success which would all lead to to becoming debt free.
Now you have your New Years aspiration & the tone at which you would like to show up for it.
Tomorrow we will explore the next step in your New Year Revolution.
Comment below
What is your Goal?
What word have you set that represents the tone for you goal & how you will show up for it.
Thanks for everything, 2021
The working year is almost complete for me and as I wrap up the year I want to share my end of year ritual with you.
Release
Appreciation
Aspiration
Finishing the year with a growth-minded relationship to it is a great way to reconcile 2021 and prepare your mindset for 2022
Release
I began this year the same as I have been doing for a long time. Wearing many hats.
As well as the Mum, Partner & family member I am also Business Owner, Constant Business Student & also part Custodian of my twin sisters legacy (involves running another business)
All of these roles bring projects, learning, lots of creative effort & many hours of time.
I often have felt like each of the roles require me to constantly switch in order to give each one enough focus & attention.
Which means no focus on the others during that time.
In January one of our greatest Twinning moments occurred when Karen and I both became published authors within days of each other!
The constant juggling all felt worth it & exhausting at the same time.
Caretaking for both books & roles has been like a rollercoaster sometimes & I know both roles will thrive when I release the need to seperate the two.
I am learning ways to bring Karen’s work & legacy with me - to wear both hats all the time and to outsource some of the tasks (If you know a great children’s book publisher please reach out).
I know that by releasing this separation I will also reach more people in a more meaningful way.
Appreciate
In the midst of a pandemic for another year I am so grateful for the health of my family & friends as well as the opportunity to cocoon at home safely (our household had its rough days too).
Our kids were incredible with their homeschooling and also their ability to regulate their routines, needs & experience of lockdown. This generation have so many obstacles & events to gain wisdom & resilience from.
Being restricted to home has given me another year to build, create & learn more about the impact I want to have as well as the gifts I have to offer.
I have invested in my self growth which has in turn led to incredible clarity in my brand & what I have to offer to my amazing clients including the powerful new Limits Unearthed Half Day intensive.
I also created, launched & completed Mindset Foundations with an incredible group of women who have transformed before my eyes!
Despite the extra hat this has been so fulfilling & rewarding I cannot wait to meet my February group.
I so appreciate those mentors who I have learnt from this year and those learnings are a great foundation for the year ahead - there is always always more to learn.
Aspiration
In all of my adult years, I don’t recall being so clear on how I want to show up for a new year.
The years I spent in corporate with templates & formal processes for goal setting, I was never able to connect to them fully because they didn’t feel like my own.
I needed to ‘buy in’ or find a way to tick the box which meant that I never really committed to the process. I now realise I was no different to most of my colleagues.
I developed somewhat of an aversion to planning for my goals.
In my own self growth I also realised how many of my behaviours & stubborn resistance were due to internal triggers of limit - designed to show me where to grow.
Working every year on the same behaviours got me the same behaviours because I consistently skipped the drivers.
This year, without those limits, and with so much 2021 clarity I am excited about aspirations for next year.
As I wrap up for the year, my final reflection will be on my aspirations for the incoming year.
With so much clarity my aspiration is to show up and serve as a guide for my clients to be who they came here to be.
Our world needs us to be working, parenting & living from our highest potential so we can be growth-minded & resilient during our challenges. Its my hope that I can be a part of this by helping aspirational & growth minded professionals reach their highest potential & be who they came here to be.
Finally, some hopeful thoughts for the holiday season and for 2022. It’s my hope for the coming year that we all practice more
Compassion for self as well as others
Self Growth; it helps us learn who we came here to be
Mindfulness; so we can be present, openhearted & openminded
Kindness; so that we are slow to judge & fast to care (self & others)
Joy; the more we allow joy the more we notice it, I learnt this from the depths of grief & know its truth.
So, Thanks for everything, 2021.
Merry Christmas & Be Well to you & yours
Kylie
